6 Months Into 2009.

Wow, so it's been literally almost a whole year since I last posted a blog. I reread my last post and decided that I still agree that 2008 as of then 2008 was turning out to be a great year.

This year has had it's ups and downs.

Last year in July I started working at Wal-Mart and I'm still there. It's not a great job at all; and I don't recommend working there if you can help it. I'm trying to get out of there as soon as I can. At the very least I'm trying to find my "happiest place" so that I can escape work while there.

In two days Shane and I will be celebrating our first anniversary! I can't believe it!

Last week on May 30th my Grandpa Poague passed away. It was so hard, and it still is. It actually seems to be getting harder as the days pass. Shane and I spent the whole week after the 30th in my hometown with my family. My Grandma was the strongest of all of us - I don't know how she does it sometimes. Grandpa was laid to rest in Holdrege, NE. He was 82 years old. I miss him very much. We all do.

In February my Dad's Grandmother passed away as well. I was not able to attend her funeral as it was in Illinois. I'm sad to say that I didn't know her as well as I would have liked. However, by the end she didn't remember very many people; her mind was very tired.

Dan and Sarena's little girl Brooke will turn one year old toward the end of this month. I really cannot believe that! She grew up way too fast because I wasn't able to see her very much during her first year.

In my last post I said that I had watched my little sister turn 16 and start driving. Well, this year she turned 17 (ah!) and a few weekends ago she drove me around on our shopping trip. Mom and Dad bought her a car this year too; a beautiful Impala - purple. She even let me drive it around town a little, ha.

In August of 2008 I got my newest tattoo. It's on my right shoulder - it says "You are my Sunshine." My Mom always used to sing that song to me when I was younger and I knew that it would be a great way to show my love for her - it's permanent, you know. I will also be getting tattoos for my Dad and my sister. My next tattoo, though, will be a cowboy hat with my Grandpa's initials inside it. (He always wore his cowboy hat, wouldn't leave home without it. He was laid to rest with it, too.)

Well, I think that might be all the updates I can think of for now. I will try to post more often - especially if something big happens. I know you're all impatient, ha.

Buh bye for now.
